"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God."
We humbly ask you to join us in praying with one accord with thanksgiving for the work He is doing in east Tennessee and around the world. We thank God for the work He is doing among Southern Baptists as they seek the "ancient" and "old" foundation of God's Holy Word. We are thankful for the church plants in the Maryville, Lenoir City and Bristol areas. We are thankful for the church plants among the Inapang language group at Itutang, Papua New Guinea with the Housley and Moore families and the new work in rural western Pennsylvania with the Fritsch family.
In Jonathan Edwards' work,"An Humble Attempt to Promote Explicit Agreement in Prayer and Visible Union of God's People in Extraordinary Prayer for the Revival of Religion, and the Advancement of Christ's Kingdom on Earth, Pursuant to Scripture Promises and Prophecies Concerning the Last Time", he expounds the text of Zechariah 8:20-22. You may be of a different persuasion than Jonathan Edwards' eschatological views, however, his exhortation for revival and prayer needs to be heeded in our day which is awash with "another gospel", "religious" entertainment and the "dispensationalism" of the "Left Behind" eschatology.
We ask you to join with us in one accord as we pray specifically for church plants in Jefferson,Hamblen and Cocke counties in east Tennessee. We continue to receive inquiries from Morristown, White Pine, Dandridge and Mascot seeking a Southern Baptist church that is faithful to the Southern Baptist biblical foundation of the "whole counsel of God".
We are thankful for the opportunity to be meeting in homes for worship in the Morristown area and northern Cocke county and trust God will continue to use these meetings for the advancement of Christ's Kingdom here in east Tennessee for His glory.
Thank you for your willingness to pray with us in one accord. We have seen God's faithfulness to hear our prayers of one accord for the Inapang people at Itutang, Papua New Guinea with the Housley family and ask that He would be pleased to bring revival with an ingathering of many souls here in east Tennessee and western Pennsylvania with the Fritsch family.
May all be to the praise of God's glory in the Church of our Lord Jesus Christ to all generations, forever and ever, Amen.
